Mani Beach Camping is located just outside Gythion, Laconia on the beach of Mavrovouni .
Gythion, one of the most picturesque areas of Laconia, is the capital of the Municipality of Eastern Mani, built amphitheatrically around the historic port of the Laconian Gulf.
Mavrovouni beach is the largest beach of Mani since it is about 5 km long and every year it is visited by Kareta-Kareta turtles to create their nests on its beautiful sandy beach (coarse sand).
Areopolis is a village in Eastern Mani in the prefecture of Laconia in the Peloponnese. It is a historic settlement, which maintained its independence during the Turkish occupation, the homeland of Mavromichalis. It is the seat of the Municipality of Itilo and retains the traditional color of Mani. It is a site with sights, historical monuments, and many options for entertainment.
Monemvasia, known to the Franks as Malvasia, is a small historic town in the eastern Peloponnese, in the province of Epidaurus Limira, in the prefecture of Laconia. It is better known than the medieval fortress, on the homonymous “Rock of Monemvasia”, which is literally a small island connected by a bridge in a formed neck of a total length of 400 meters with the current coast opposite the city on the Laconian coast.
In ancient Kranai or Marathonisi, are the Tzanetaki tower, the octagonal lighthouse of the same name (Kranai lighthouse), and the small church of Agios Petros. The island joins Gythio with a jetty. According to Homer, Kranai was the first love nest of Paris and the Beautiful Helen.
Mystras, also known as Myzithras in the Chronicle of Morea, was a fortified Greek city. Located in Taygetos, near ancient Sparta, Mystras was the capital of the Byzantine Despotate of Mystras in the 14th and 15th centuries and is a wonderful monument to visit.
Glyfada Cave (or Vlychada) Diros is one of the most beautiful caves in the world. It is located on the west coast of the Laconian Peninsula, in the Bay of Diros, Municipality of Itilo. The known length of the cave exceeds 15 kilometers and began to form hundreds of thousands of years ago. Today you can visit it and take a tour of a part of it.
